Interested in learning to tie flies? Not sure where to start? We've spent more than 20 years helping new tiers start their journey into the world of fly tying.
Our Level One course is designed to provide new tiers with the skills they need to sit down and tie most flies.
In this course you'll learn the key fundamentals of fly tying, including but not limited to:
- Proportions
- Material and Hook Selection
- Proper Finishing Techniques
Our Level One sessions are one evening per week for five weeks. Classes start at 7 pm and each session is around 2 hours. Click here to register or visit the store to secure your space today.
Fall 2024 Course Dates:
Session 1 - Tuesdays - October 29; November 5, 12, 19, & 26.
Winter 2025 Course Dates:
Session 1 - Mondays, January 27, February 3, 10, 17, 24
Session 2 - Wednesdays, March 5, 12, 19, 26; April 2
Course fee: $120 instruction fee. Students are responsible for providing all materials and tools. Materials kits are available at the store. We also stock a wide assortment of vises and tools. Please visit the shop to purchase necessary supplies prior to your first class.
Courses are limited to five participants.
