Fish Tales is returning to Rocky Point! They are still in their opening months of DIY fishing but this special spot offers some extremely unique fishing opportunities for those willing to be on their own. We have rebooked for next year. The group we had there at the end of February was suitably impressed. The agreement amongst the anglers was they needed more time at the camp. Thanks to RPPC management we can offer for the 2026 a full week of 6 nights and 5 & 1/2 days in camp. The Rocky Point Permit Camp (RPPC) on North Ambergris Caye is currently in the middle of its inaugural season and enthusiasm for what is being offered is high!
RPPC is ideally suited for anglers with previous flats experience as it’s designed as a do-it-yourself destination. Lodge visitors will have access to a variety of watercraft to explore the lagoon.
The lodge is uniquely located. You can fish the “front yard” (the ocean side) for permit, bones, cuda, trigger fish, multiple species of jack, and various other species that venture in from the barrier reef. Or you can fish the “back yard” - the Laguna de Cantena within the Bacalar Chico National Park which has solid populations of bonefish, permit, as well as snook and baby tarpon among others.
