Fish Tales is very excited to announce we have reserved a week at a brand new fishing destination! The Rocky Point Permit Camp (RPPC) on North Ambergris Caye is currently being built. It’s scheduled to open late this spring.
RPPC is ideally suited for anglers with previous flats experience as it’s designed as a do-it-yourself destination. Lodge visitors will have access to watercraft and guides can be arranged (at an additional cost.)
The lodge is uniquely located. You can fish the “front yard” (the ocean side) for permit, bones, cuda, trigger fish, and various other species that venture in from the barrier reef. Or you can fish the “back yard” - the Laguna de Cantena within the Bacalar Chico National Park which has solid populations of bonefish, as well as snook and baby tarpon among others.

Itinerary
Arrive Belize City Saturday Feb 22 or earlier if you want extra days in Belize.
(Direct flights from Calgary available Friday & Saturday)
Continue onto Ambergris Caye (San Pedro) on Tropic Air
Hotel 2 nights (Sat Feb 22 & Sun Feb 23) in San Pedro - full day Sunday to relax (guided fishing day as an option for additional cost)
Monday Feb 24 morning transfer to Rocky Point Permit Camp. Get settled and fish!
Tuesday 25th-Thursday 27th fish, relax, and enjoy RPPC!
Friday February 28 DIY fishing in the morning, transfer back to San Pedro Hotel in the early afternoon. Enjoy a final dinner in Belize! Or stay longer if you prefer.
Saturday March 1st catch mid-morning Tropic Air flight to Belize City and onto International flight for return home.
