How long have you been fishing? I’ve been fishing since I was 3.
How long have you been fly fishing? I’ve been fly fishing since I was 10 years old.
How did you get started in fly fishing? My dad is a guide on the Bow so I’ve pretty much been involved in fishing my whole life. I began to actually fly fish when I was old enough to execute a basic fly cast.
Favorite species? Brown trout and Tarpon.

Favorite water? The mighty Bow River.
Favorite technique? Any visual aspect of fishing, sight fishing, mousing, fishing the banks with floating line streamers, stalking snouts.
Favorite flies? Skiddish Smolt, Gartside Leech, Morrish’s Medusa, Parachute Adams, Chubby Chernobyl, CDC Caddis
Favorite fishing book and DVD? Andy Mill’s “A Passion for Tarpon”, “Silver Kings”
Favorite Vise? Renzetti Traveler
Favorite pattern to tie? I enjoy creating my own patterns. I tie a lot of pike flies too and my favourite is probably Andersson’s articulated delivery man.
Most interesting location I’ve fished? North Florida, nothing even compares to seeing a tarpon over 100lbs react positively to your fly, eat it, run, and jump. My fist experience down there is what really got me hooked on fly fishing.
Your destination/species wishlist: GT in the Seychelles, Golden Dorado in Bolivia, Arapaima in the ponds of the Amazon.
Given the opportunity who would you choose to fish with? Or someone who has inspired you as an angler/teacher/tyer/guide? My favorite person to fish with is definitely my dad, he’s totally my inspiration and I’ll always choose to fish with him over anyone else. That being said, it would be pretty wicked to fish with Capt. Bou Bosso down in Islamorada.
