In October 2019 we started posting weekly Fly Tie Tuesday featured flies to our social media feeds. These posts feature an image (or two) of a finished fly and the “ingredients list” for the finished pattern.
Shop staff Ben and Nick spent a few days stalking steelhead last month. Their cold nights sleeping in their vehicles paid off with some lovely fish. Seem more about their trip on our blog. One successful fly was Nick’s Steelhead Snake. It seems to have all the right stuff including a stiff hook to land big fish. A simple tie with a few key ingredients.
