In October 2019 we started posting weekly Fly Tie Tuesday featured flies to our social media feeds. These posts feature an image (or two) of a finished fly and the “ingredients list” for the finished pattern.
It’s Fly Tie Tuesday! It’s BWO time again. This sweet little nymph incorporates a quill body and a micro composite loop using fawn coloured Fishient polar dub, a material comprised of polar fibres and subtle UV flash. We also worked in a few translucent fibres plucked from some olive UV polar chenille. Once trimmed you have some gills/legs and generally a buggy looking fly. Leave it untrimmed if you prefer more hackled looking flies and experiment with bead colours/sizes.
