Kelly Robertson
We welcomed Kelly Robertson to the Fish Tales crew in April 2018. Though new to the shop Kelly has extensive fishing retail experience. He enjoys keeping up-to-date with product knowledge and helping others on their fly fishing journey. His time at the shop also allows a bit of decompression time from his other job as a member of the Calgary Fire Department.

How long have you been fly fishing? 30+ years
How did you get started in fly fishing? A friend introduced me and I was hooked immediately. I applied for a job in my teens at wholesale sports and met people that offered me a chance to experience different waters.
Favorite species: I am a trout bum in disguise as a responsible adult but have a passion for steelhead.
Favorite water: Absolutely love the Skeena system. Avid two hand fisherman with a love of streamers.
Favorite Vise: My vise is a Renzetti 2000
Favourite pattern to tie: I am currently tying a ton of trout “Spey” flies.
Destination/Species wish list: Favourite destination so far is Hawaii because of the diversity of species. Hopefully in the future I can explore some more tropical destinations.
