This buggy, pearlescent Tan Scud Stillwater Fly from Springbrook Flies can be fished all year long in a variety of water. Even though they are a crustacean and not actually an insect, scuds are a predominant food source for trout, especially in lakes. Fish the scud near the bottom with an intermediate sink line and a slow hand twist, or use a parabolic line like the Rio Fathom Clean Sweep in deeper water. Can be fished under an indicator as well.
