Shipping Update September 25th, 2025 - Canada Post Strike
Sep 26, 2025
Update - October 14th, 2025 - As Canada Post begins rotating strikes we will continue to see delays and limits to shipping options for our customers. We are doing all we can to be flexible and transparent about delivery while we navigate the challenges this creates. We have carrier solutions that are available to customers in most regions, and customers with PO Boxes are encouraged to provide an alternative address that can be shipped by courier instead. In addition, we are still offering in-store pick up and Gift Cards as alternatives to shipped items.
The details - On September 25th, 2025, Canada Post announced a strike which will affect mail and parcel deliveries nationwide indefinitely. The week of October 12th, Canada Post is returning to service with rotating strikes, beginning with clearing those items already in transit. For the latest on the Canada Post negotiations, click here. What this means:
- Orders placed before the 25th that are currently in transit are not likely to be delivered by their expected delivery date and will be cleared first-in, first-out as service resumes.
- Most new orders will not be shipped via Canada Post until the strike is ended or enters into a rotating strike option during negotiation. PO Box addresses will see items shipped with Canada Post only if an alternative address is not available.
- All service standards we offer regarding shipping and delivery, including but not limited to delivery date, cost and carrier options, are temporarily paused.
Please note that a physical address is strongly encouraged for any parcels shipped during this time. PO Box addresses will not be accepted by couriers and orders delivering to unfulfillable addresses will be cancelled if an alternative address isn't available. PO Box addresses that can be shipped by Canada Post during rotating strikes may face extra delays to delivery.
We ask for your understanding that orders placed on September 25th and onwards requiring shipping may not be fulfillable and may be cancelled for until the Canada Post Strike is fully resolved.
All service standards pertaining to shipping in our shipping policy continue to be temporarily paused during rotating Canada Post strikes. This includes flat rate and free shipping offers - we will do our best to fulfill orders within these parameters where the cost remains reasonable and we apologize for these circumstances that may require additional payment for shipping. Examples include destinations that are extremely rural, in the Northern Territories, or in the Maritime Region (especially Newfoundland). Orders to such destinations may not be fulfillable under flat rate shipping or free shipping options and additional payment for unavoidably high shipping costs may apply.
If you are unsure about placing an order or have any questions, we encourage you to contact us for help or clarification. We understand that this affects many of our customers and we're sorry for the inconveniences this may cause.

Shipping During the Current Postal Strike - FAQs
- Are there alternatives to having an order shipped right now? Yes - Gift Cards are a great options for gift givers that can be used at a later date when shipping options return to normal. You can also shop online and choose in-store pick up, or shop in store at our Calgary location during open hours.
- Can I place an order online today? Yes - At this time, we are accepting orders with the understanding that there is no guarantee that we can fulfill with shipping, can ship an order at a reasonable cost, or provide a delivery time frame.
- If I place an order, when will it be packed and shipped? We will continue to pick and pack orders that we can fulfill as soon as possible.
- If my order is shipped, when can I expect it to arrive? At this time we cannot guarantee any delivery timing and we encourage the use of the tracking information provided from the courier to estimate your parcel's arrival.
- I already have an order in transit at the time of the strike - when will it arrive? Canada Post has stated they are unable to provide estimated arrival dates for items already in transit. As service resumes items will be processed in a first-in, first-out manner. We are sorry that this has happened and we will continue to monitor orders in transit. We encourage the use of the tracking information provided to check in on your parcel.
- What courier will be delivering my order? We will be using a variety of couriers to fulfill as many orders as we can in an affordable and timely manner. We cannot promise the availability or use of a specific courier.
- What are the prices for shipping to my area? We are working to maintain an affordable cost for shipping and will update any changes to our current pricing as soon as they are available. Most orders will be fulfillable within our usual parameters. We are sorry that we cannot promise that the usual rates and offers can be maintained for all regions during this time and we appreciate your understanding.
- How can I know if there will be additional shipping costs for my order and why aren't these in the checkout? Our checkout does not allow for both flat rate shipping and calculated shipping. The majority of orders will be fulfillable under flat rate shipping and our choice to maintain this allows us provide our usual level of service to the most customers despite increased shipping costs. This does mean that some orders may be affected, and we will only contact those orders that cannot be reasonably fulfilled for the label cost. If any uncertainty exists about the shipping costs to your address, please contact us prior to ordering.
- I have a PO Box address - can I place an order? A physical address in a municipality that accepts courier deliveries is best. Orders placed using a PO Box address, rural address, or other address will face delays during rotating strikes. Addresses that cannot be delivered to will be cancelled if a deliverable alternative address isn't provided.
- I have my own courier account - can I place an order and have it shipped using my own account? Please contact us prior to ordering to arrange for the use of your own courier account to pick up and ship an order.
- I placed an order and it was cancelled - why did this happen? Orders may be cancelled without explanation for a variety of reasons, including shipping availability or cost. If you used a PO Box or rural address to place your order and it was cancelled, you may try again with a physical address.
- Where can I find more information about the Canada Post strike? More information can be found on the Canada Post Website
