Andy Anderson is the recognized dean of fishing photography and this is his life’s compilation of saltwater images. His distinctive eye and fearless creativity enable him to get the impossible shot, which has led to countless magazine covers. His work is used by all the major tackle companies and retailers.

Features all the essential saltwater destinations and fisheries: Northeast Atlantic, Pacific Northwest, Bahamas, Gulf Coast, and Florida Keys. Organized by theme, the book celebrates the total fishing experience: boats, guides, fish, weather, water, wading and surfcasting, and tackle and flies. Each section has an accompanying essay by Tom Rosenbauer that offers firsthand experiences—taking the reader along on memorable trips to the world’s greatest fishing destinations.

Andy Anderson began his photography career as the first staff photographer for Men’s Journal. Since then, he has shot for Outside, Stern,Audubon, Condé Nast Traveler, Garden & Gun, and Town & Country. His work has been recognized by The New York Art Directors Club, Communication Arts, and Graphis, and he was nominated for Life Magazine’s “Eisie Award” for excellence in photojournalism.

Tom Rosenbauer 
was Fly Rod & Reel’s 2011 Angler of the Year. He has hosted fly-fishing shows on TV, and his podcast, “The Orvis Fly-Fishing Guide,” is one of the most popular outdoor titles on iTunes. He has worked with The Orvis Company in Vermont for more than 30 years. Rosenbauer is the author of more than 12 books on fly fishing and tying, including Universe’s The Orvis Guide to Small Stream Fly Fishing.

Guy de la Valdène is the author of The Fragrance of Grass, Red Stag, For a Handful of Feathers, and Making Game: An Essay on Woodcock. La Valdène's articles have appeared in Gray’s Sporting Journal, Sports Afield, and Field & Stream. He also directed the highly acclaimed documentary Tarpon, filmed in Key West, Florida, in 1973 (recently re-released), and featuring Tom McGuane, Richard Brautigan, and Jim Harrison. La Valdène lives on an 800-acre farm in Florida.
