Axel Amchastegui is a paramount wildlife illustrator from the last century. He was was born in 1921 in Cordoba, Argentina, and was a self taught artist. He loved the beauty of the natural environment in which he grew up. Axel developed a unique technique for his paintings using Chinese inks and watercolors.
