Recently we received our first shipment on the new MFC Galloup’s Fish Feathers, all screen printed and matched premium sets of schlappen feathers that are showy and matched to be consistent through the whole pack of 10. I tried these out, skeptical if it was worth it for the price at $1+ per feather.
I quickly hit the vise and schemed up a few articulated patterns that this feather would look good on. Tying these feathers in was really easy and they looked quite good on all the flies. During the next few days, I fished them all extensively, and the feathers held up really well without losing color or breaking apart. If you are looking to tie some special streamers this winter, these printed feathers are my new go-to material and I for sure recommend giving a try.
