X-Flats - Xcalak, Mexico June 10-17, 2023

Our first hosted trip to Xcalak was a success and we've already reserved a week in 2023. Three members of the 2022 group landed their first permit during the week despite a couple days of bad weather; rain and winds. The food was great, the lodging comfortable, and the permit are plentiful. The group dedicated a lot of time to pursuing permit but also got some tarpon and bonefish to hand. This is a great location for the serious permit angler.Check out our 2022 trip report...

X-Flats is located in the remote village of Xcalak on the southernmost tip of the Yucatan Peninsula bordering Belize. Owned and operated by Colorado fishing guide turned lodge operator Jesse Colter, the lodge offers a relaxing home base complete with air conditioning and wi-fi after full days on the flats.

The area is home to bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, jacks, and more. Fishing days can be focused on specific species/techniques, or offer a variety depending on what you (and your fishing partner) want to do.

Spring 2023 trip dates: June 10-17 at the lodge. Plan for overnights in Cancun on June 9 and June 18. (3 spots remain.)

2023 pricing for 7 nights / 6 days. Double occupancy (boat and room) -$4,495.00 USD
