The Bow River Bugger was designed, tested and popularized right here in Calgary on the Bow River in the early 1980s. It’s a perfect blend of two timeless patterns, the Wooly Bugger and Muddler Minnow. Due to its versatility The Bow River Bugger has become a staple in streamer boxes across the world. Join Matt Chatani on Tuesday April 8th as he ties a modernized version of this killer pattern, with materials that simply weren't available during it’s conception. The Modern Bow River Bugger has spent hundreds of hours on the end of our tippet, yielding numerous trophy trout.
- Workshop starts at 7pm and goes until 9/9:30pm
- $10 + GST registration includes instruction along with a materials kit with enough materials to tie three flies (thread and epoxy not included)
- Registrants are encouraged to tie along with us - please bring your tying tools, vise, thread and epoxy
- Some more intricate fly tying skills are recommended as a prerequisite but not required
