We made it through most of the week operating via telephone and email orders resulting in curbside pickups and visits to the post office. We have developed a pretty good no contact system. Thank you all for your support.
Now we are taking a two-day (minimum) breather from the shop. We will be closed Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29.
We anticipated the government would close all non-essential businesses and were prepping (psychologically) for the same. So although today's announcement wasn't unexpected it was a few days earlier than we had anticipated.
Despite the new restrictions indicating retailers are ok to continue providing curbside pickup we're going to stay home and do our part to flatten the curve this weekend. This gives our team a chance to recoup and allows us to fully understand the province's newest restrictions.
It's tough to be locking the door on a shop full of inventory and on the customers who've supported us over the years.
David and Nancy will be checking emails throughout the weekend and can check on inventory remotely. We will continue accepting email orders and will process them for pickup or shipping early next week.
We encourage folks to enjoy the weekend, the weather, and your loved ones during this first spring-like weekend. Thank you for your understanding and support during these challenging times.
Wishing you all good health.
