Level 1 Fly Tying Course Registration - Winter 2027

Register here for the Winter 2027 sessions of the Fish Tales Level One Fly Tying Course. This course is designed to provide new tiers with the skills needed to sit down at the vise and tie most flies. 

Some of the key fundamentals of fly tying included in the course:

• Vise and Tool Use
• Proportions
• Material and Hook Selection
• Proper Finishing Techniques

This course is one evening per week for five weeks. Classes start at 7 pm and run for about 2 hours. Courses are offered in-person at Fish Tales Fly Shop in our fly tying space and are limited to five participants. Register here or visit the store to secure your space today!

Winter 2027 Course Dates:

Session 1 - Tuesdays - January 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16

Session 2 - Tuesdays - March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

Additional Information:

• Course Cost: $150 instruction fee - vise, tools and materials not included
• Students are responsible for providing all materials and tools
• Classes start promptly at 7 pm - Please visit the shop to purchase any necessary supplies prior to your first class
  
• Materials kits for flies tied in this course are available in-store
