The Carpet Sow Bug Freshwater Nymph from Freestone Fly Company is an unweighted sow bug usually fished on lakes and tailwaters. Mimicking a small freshwater shrimp or scud, the buggy dubbed body catches light and gives the appearance of legs and movements, and a hot thread head finishes the fly off with the orange spot often seen on the real thing.
