When is the new site going to done?
This has been a common question around the shop since we started assessing our on-line presence late last fall.
On these pages you'll see the initial launch of our new website. This has come about after several teleconferences with one website developer, and a request for quotes from a few different providers. But it was an in-store conversation with a wholesale representative that sealed our decision to hire a local design company who specializes in the Shopify platform. Uppercut has been easy to work with and helpful every step of the way. And there have already been many steps and many hours invested.
That said, this initial launch is mostly a transition of existing information to a modernized layout that is easier to navigate and gives us a better platform to keep you up-to-date. Please take some time to check out all areas of the site.
- Our blog will give easy access to news, river reports, reviews, and events.
- You can read quick introductions to our staff and guides on either the "About" or "Guiding" pages.
- The "About the Bow" page is a great introduction to what you can expect on the river throughout the year.
- The "Hosted Trips/Destinations" provides a good breakdown on where we're headed in the next 18 months.
As far as when is the site going to be done?
My answer is simple.... It will never be done and we don't want it to be. We plan for this site to continue to evolve and hope folks can look to it for information and eventually to see a lot of what's in the store. Since the Shopify platform is designed for e-commerce we plan to (eventually) list products on the site. Admittedly we are a long ways still from having an on-line store, but at least now the framework is beginning to take place. That said, as we move on to additional stages of this project we welcome your input on what else you might like to see.
You know where to find us.... Thanks for the continued support.
